Our History
Founded in New England by John Carlson in 1947, Carlson has embraced an integrated team approach to design and construction. To this end, we draw from our extensive expertise and experience in program management, strategic planning, architecture, engineering and construction to offer an integrated design/build approach.
In 1962 Carlson acquired the engineering firm
Aldrich Company and became one of the first
integrated Design/Build companies in the
country. Since that time we have embraced the Design/Build approach that is emulated by many construction firms today.
Carlson Design Construct is owned by Carlson Group, Inc. as is its sister design entity, Carlson Associates, Inc. Both companies provide independent services to clients or when requested, work together on the same project. Carlson has designed and built over 75 million square feet of Mission Critical Facilities nationwide.
Carlson is active in industry organizations, to keep current on trends in Data Center design and construction, and to maintain relationships with industry leaders and key suppliers and vendors. We service our clients in a broad geographic region. We maintain long term client relationships and serve them wherever their business is.
Our philosophy is to maintain a core team of data center experts and leverage this expertise through pre-qualified subcontractors experienced in the project’s location. This approach, rather than self performing trade work, provides the highest quality and greatest value to the client. |
